Adding to Stories
Derivativ’s unique feature and purpose allows any of its users to contribute to other stories, write multiple possibilities,
or just come up with a new story altogether. Think of the process like a tree growing; the root story or the ‘trunk’ is where the story begins.
When users add their own paths to the trunk of the story, branches are formed. How large and elaborate the tree will grow is up to you and the community.
Adding to stories is simple. When you want to contribute to a path you are reading, click the ‘contribute’ button in the lower right of the reading page.
A console for adding a chapter title, and content will pop out, where you can type your new branch. After you are finished click on the ‘contribute’ button again,
and your branch will be added, and viewable to all. Like root chapters, the author can remove any branch they write, until somebody else writes on it.
Please note that all stories, branches and content alike must coincide with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
Derivativ’s rating system allows users to comment on and rate other story branches to see which entries are the favorites amongst the community. See: Story Joining
